Preparing the banquet on 29 august

Press review

On 12 July, Asterix took up residence in the pages of the highly respected French newspaper, Le Monde. According to a partnership agreement signed in Vitalstatistix's hut, the evening daily will publish two plates of a colour, re-inked version of pages from the '60s every weekend to whet our appetites for the banquet that is to take place on 29 August in all the best shops.
Accompanied by texts signed by Albert Uderzo, this operation is reinforced by B&W and colour adverts in the editions preceding each of the weekend plates, as well as by newsstand posters and even a collector's t-shirt for all newsagents.
The partnership will reach its climatic conclusion on 30 August!

Bayard presse loves Asterix

Press review

J'AIME LIRE, D-LIRE, ASTRAPI, OKAPI, IMAGE DOC, JE BOUQUINE, the back-to-school issues of these prestigious magazine titles will all have one thing in common. Can you guess what?
Tintin, of course! Okay, no, just kidding, obviously it's Asterix! Each of these titles will be "packaged" with a special magazine dedicated to our Village heroes. Essential reading every one of them, by Toutatis!
There are surprises galore in the various partner titles of this operation, much to the disgust of the Romans.
It's easy to understand though - what do those irascible Gauls have on Roman legionnaires? Are they attractive and slim enough to participate in reality shows for "beautiful" people?
No, the difference lies in their fathers' celebrated talents. Here I could go on and on!

Events to do the celebration justice

Press review

The NRJ radio station will offer an Asterix theme day on 29 August with all kinds of information on our friend from Gaul.
Starting on 24 August, just before school starts, the RTL station will base a number of its programmes on the adventures of our spirited heroes.
The regional paper Ouest-France will open its pages to the Asterix universe during the week preceding the new album's publication.
And E-NRJ, already a partner to your favourite site last March, will bring it all together starting on 20 August.
The Wanadoo website is preparing an online banquet in conjunction with Voilà.fr and Après l'école.com to satisfy all you roast boar lovers out there (well, have you ever tried it?) with quizzes, games, competitions and a strong presence on the homepage.
Could this be a plot hatched by the intelligence service better known as GMO?
